One Year Later | Photos From a Sun-Drenched Elopement Among the Wildflowers in Dripping Springs, TX

Reminiscing today on the magical elopement of Madie and Nick. One year ago today, they committed themselves to each other in a field of wildflowers under a sun-drenched oak tree in Dripping Springs.

It was intimate and real.

I've known Madie since our days working together at a spin studio in Washington, D.C. (RIP Zengo). Although the spin studios have changed and we're in Texas now, we've collaborated so many times on photos over the years.

When she asked if I would be the one to take photos of their special day, I was stoked. I will never get over the privilege of quietly documenting their vows and first dance as the sun set behind them.

Madie and Nick, may your love continue to radiate. Love you dearly, friends.

Madie also had the idea to take some video on the day with her iPhone. I brought along my little vlog camera (Osmo Pocket 3 is a DREAM, by the way!) to supplement. I was able to cut the sweetest little video keepsake for them. The real one is longer with full audio, but it feels too sacred to share without their blessing. So here's a little social media edit.
